As part of the 25-year milestone of Indus Life Sciences in Ghana, we launched the CSR initiative “One Region One School (OROS)”, focused on adopting and supporting under-resourced schools across the country.

In collaboration with a local NGO (Tracy Semanu Foundation), we identified a school in Mpli Village in the Krachi District of the Oti Region. The children studied in open spaces under trees and carried their books in rice sacks due to the absence of basic facilities. Our team travelled to the village to meet the students and understand their challenges firsthand.

Mpli is a village located in the Krachi West Municipal Assembly of the Oti Region in Ghana.
The village is currently a lead beneficiary of the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program (GSCSP) under the SOCO project, which includes the construction of a CHPS compound (health facility) and a mechanized borehole to improve access to water and healthcare for the community and surrounding areas.

The administrative capital for the municipality where Mpli is located is Kete-Krachi, a peninsula bordered by the Volta Lake. The area is known for its rolling hills, fertile plains suitable for agriculture (especially yam), and a rich cultural heritage.

During the visit, 157 students  received Zincovit back bags, notebooks, pens, and non-woven bags. The interaction with the students, especially their heartfelt ambitions, reinforced the importance of educational support in shaping their future.
